Weobley pupils got involved with some solar astronomy to mark the partial eclipse of the Sun. Fortunately the weather was kind and pupils were able to view the event in safety using pin-hole cameras, solar filters, and a projection through a telescope. At its peak nearly 90% of the Sun’s disk was covered by the Moon, and we’ll have to wait until August 2026 to see anything like this again in the UK.
